Follow Jesus in Suffering

Luk_24:26 - Christ must suffer

Joh_12:26 - If you are a servant, then you will be with Him

Joh_15:20 - No servant greater than Master

1Pe 2:21 MKJV For you were not called to this? For Christ also suffered on our behalf, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps,

Heb 13:13 MKJV Therefore let us go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach.

2Ti 3:12 WEB Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Phi 3:8-10 MKJV ...I also count all things to be loss ...10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;

Because it’s the Path to Heaven

Act 14:21-22 MKJV ...they returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch, 22 confirming the souls of the disciples, calling on them to continue in the faith and that through much tribulation we must enter into the kingdom of God.

Mat 16:24-25 MKJV Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whoever desires to lose his life for My sake shall find it.

- We often try to find ways to be comfortably saved into the kingdom

- This is not an option

2Ti_2:12 - IF we suffer, then we reign with Him

1Pe_4:12-16 - persecution not strange

2Co_12:10 - Take pleasure in weakness

Rom 5:3-5 WEB Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: 5 and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
