Issues
Losing Saltiness: the hateful perversion and complete
uselessness of liberal “Mennonites”
a review of menn
research
meno simons
the lot and clergy
i dont know if that this is ever used at all in
the new testameant after the beginning of acts
simply says appoint elders
is it used in ot ?
Explanation
Liberal and
progressive so-called “Mennonites” have lost all distinctive usefulness for
being falsely so called “Mennonites.” When they have joined modern christianity they are just as
useless as all other defiled imitations of christianity.
Although there are
many good things to consider about Amish and perhaps a number of other groups,
for the purposes of this project I will tend to focus
primarily on Mennonites for now for my review.
Strengths
Mennonites seem to
value actually living their faith more than most groups. Many people claim this
so loudly, but perform it so lousily.
Mennonites are often
not Sunday christians, and
what they believe actually follows them throughout their daily life.
Weaknesses
i would call for greater conformity to the scriptures, not because i oppose menn on it es
but because of how much i
love and appreciate them as a whole
in many of the following
cases, although I have found these things in
conservative circles, the greatest problems like this are most often in the
least conservative cases . in other words, some
exceptionally faithful churches may not struggle with any of there faults.
judging the church
dispensational
no gifts, baptism in holy spirit
some no living voice. excuse
themselves from accountability to verses calling for the supernatural
even some relatively conservative churches
women speak during the assembly
in one case they even let a woman teach in
front of the congregation during children’s hour
Hard
to get in on the inner circle.
Consistent
regard for the "us" being Anabaptist, even if they are unsaved. Jesus said, "my
mother/brother/sister is those who hear the Word of God and do it."
- Being ordained in
the Mennonite church is often one for the only ways a person may every preach at many Mennonite churches.
many (but not all) let their women speak in
assembly
often no distinction between morally liberal and
neutral reforms
it seems like well meaning
people are not afraid or ashamed to be called more liberal because of none
substance things. this should not be. there is a grave difference between outer codes and moral
standards. it should never be categorized under the
same term. it seems that even well
meaning people almost struggle to make a consistent and clear distinction
between changing moral standards and non moral codes.
