Jesus places the avoidance of sin at The core essence of a person's psychological sense of well-being.
Jesus stops you abruptly and shockingly from ever even coming close to trivializing sin
Body part chopping absolutely stops you dead in your tracks from trivializing sin
Remember, he's already established that you have to be the first one to admit that you're wrong, and he deepens your passion by absolutely demanding vital seriousness against all sin no matter the cost
The SURVIVAL-Motivation of Hand chopping
Literally cutting off a body part is part of an essential obsessive
posture toward the vital necessity of apprehending salvation from sin.
Whenever you say it's figurative or don't take him seriously
you're actually undermining the exact psychological functionality that Jesus is
telling you to have:
Achievement motivation,
Goals as safety signals, Sense of safety strategies,
Safety/Security needs channeled into achievement,
Failure-avoidant motivation, Avoidance-focused
achievement,
Mastery orientation, Mastery goals, Contingent self-worth,
Contingent self-esteem, Achievement-based identity,
Approach-oriented achievement motivation, Overidentification with performance, Overidentification
with role, Achievement addiction, Maladaptive
perfectionism, Self-actualization drive, Purpose-driven identity,
Meaning-making through goals

Liberal apostates like to say that Matthew_5:27-30 can't be literal
They have various excuses like saying that cutting off body parts doesn't actually change the heart.
They may also say that JC is the master of hyperbole, which is of course the opposite of historical reality since Jesus was a monotheist.
Mark and Luke however give us more information.
Mar_9:42-48 LSV 42 and whoever may cause to stumble one of the little ones believing in Me, better is it for him if a millstone is hanged around his neck, and he has been cast into the sea. 43 And if your hand may cause you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having the two hands, to go away into Gehenna, into the fire—the unquenchable— 44 [[where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.]] 45 And if your foot may cause you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life lame, than having the two feet to be cast into Gehenna, into the fire—the unquenchable— 46 [[where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched.]] 47 And if your eye may cause you to stumble, cast it out; it is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God one-eyed, than having two eyes, to be cast into the Gehenna of fire— 48 where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched;
Mark particularly gives us the parallel with being drowned in the depths of the sea to avoid causing a little one to stumble.
We see that it is very logically possible for a person to be executed before they commit a crime against a little one and bear the eternal weight of guilt that God will bring on them at judgment.
Being executed before committing a crime is considered a positive profitable contribution to a person's life in contrast to the potential of them continuing to live and sinning against one of these little ones
Since it is logically possible to prevent someone from committing a crime by executing them swiftly, so also Jesus tells us that we should chop off body parts that are making us sin to avoid the exact same pit of Hell fire.
A hyperbole could be an overstatement, whereas Jesus is not overstating himself since his somber sober reality of consistent and very clear logic carries all the way through all of these Illustrative case studies
Hand Chopping
Literally chopping off a hand is despised by superficial cheap shallow
fleshly thinking and blasphemous anti- Bible obedience
But wisdom and Truth obedience embraces the literalness of the hand
chopping because...
It is actually logically valid to sacrifice one body part to save your
whole body
Objects in this life can indeed be a tripping point that scandalizes you
(makes you fall) into sin
Morally and thematically
Literal hand chopping is precisely consistent with the morality of Truth
throughout the whole Bible...
Sacrificing a smaller piece of your body or life for the sake of avoiding
sin is logically and morally valid and consistent with the entire Bible
Hand shopping is being conceptualized in a very long history of humans
making sacrifices all throughout the Bible to give up one thing to gain
something good and true
Hand chopping has to be taken literally because
it is so practically intertwined with the entire concept of making sacrifices
and the entire concept of avoiding sin
Literal hand chopping cannot be dismissed and swept away as figurative
or hyperbole because it is exactly consistent in a long history of fleeing lust
A pervert and a fool And a shallow-minded Bible disobeyer complains and
says that a hand can't be the issue because it is a sin of the heart and
therefore the heart has to be the real issue and he can't be serious about the
hand, but this is as mindless and ignorant and illiterate and de-educating as
ignoring all the other related commands throughout the Bible and relegating
them to hyperbole even though they're extremely true and practical and morally
excellent, such as...
A pervert and a fool would then have to logically say 'you don't need to
flee lust because it's not the circumstance that's the problem it's your heart'
But when we flee lust we are committing our heart to not sin, and we are
distrusting ourselves to resist sin so that we remove ourselves from the
temptation and solidify faithfulness and anti-sin in our heart in doing so
You don't say that the problem is my heart so I don't need to flee lust!
Proverbs says don't even go down her path!
The inconsistent hypocrisy of the perverted fool who rebels against
scripture to say that hand chopping is not literal because it has to do with
the heart, if they were to be consistent, is logically constrained to say that
the harlots path is not the issue, the person's heart is, therefore you don't
need to take the Bible literally when it says to flee lust or avoid her path
because you just need to deal with your heart, as if you're figurative Bible
disobedience replaces the actual words of God so that you don't have to obey
him because you think you're so spiritual that you avoid the concrete actual
obedience because you think you know what it's all about - "the
heart" and in doing this way you betray your own wickedness and show how
ugly and disgusting your heart really is...
Avoiding Physical Amputation
Interestingly, if you go ahead and immediately start applying Jesus's
rules of amputating body parts to amputate sin, you'll never really get to the
point where you have to chop off body parts...
Just like..
Romans 6 is logical crucifixion
So also...
If you start amputating things out of your life that scandal
you you'll never have to amputate body parts, because they stopped scandaling you as long as you start amputating the smaller
things before it ever gets to the point of bigger things that need to be
amputated.

Figurative Blasphemies Against Amputation
A majority of church people think that cutting off body parts has to be
figurative and/or a hyperbole because they arrogantly (pope-ishly)
declare Jesus's amputation rules as impossible to keep - but they're saying
it's wrong just because they don't want to obey it.
Ignorance = Impossibility
Impossibility impressions come from the moral ignorance that we can stop
sinning, and a practical ignorance from mistranslations...
Continual Tense Matters! (SRP)
Jesus, John, and sometimes Paul use the present tense as rules against
continued sin, but no one in church knows about it because their deceptive
scribes and pastors they have chosen won't translate sufficiently to see a
difference between continued sin and sin that is stopped by repentance, nor
does practically anyone in church today even want to believe the good message
that you don't have to keep sinning anymore...
Because of translational and moral ignorance and blind desolation
hard-hearted church people don't even begin to embrace the Bible's constant commands
to 'go and sin no more', and to actually stop sinning.

Cutting off body parts then becomes
offensive and is blasphemously slandered as being impossible and absurd - but the real
problem is that church people think that stopping sin is impossible and absurd,
otherwise they would have stopped sinning and not needed to amputate any body
parts to save their soul.
The issue is not really that Jesus is exaggerating in untruthful
hyperbole and unreliable figurative language that doesn't authoritatively Lord
over our lives - but on the contrary: we are actually indeed immediately
responsible for obeying the exact words of Jesus about chopping off body parts,
because there's nothing at all implied that is less serious and non-literal
about amputating body parts in Jesus's words and all throughout the rest of the
Bible.
Never mind your figurative escape hatch - it won't guarantee you the
grim Doom of gehenna hell that Jesus guaranteed you
would be thrown into if you don't obey His amputation commands.
Un-Amputated Obeyers?
again a church person protests at the
bold declaration of Truth and insistence that Jesus was serious...
Church people say to Bible obeys...
If you say we have to literally obey Jesus's commands then why haven't you
chopped off your body parts?
But this is actually the absurd foolishness of church people, because
Jesus didn't plainly say to chop off body parts, but said if they are causing
you to sin to chop them off - and church people are assuming that obeyers are
sinning in a way that this extreme command constrains them to amputate, but
obeyers are not sinning (by very definition)!
Tongue = Evil, Just Like Hand
Jesus says a hand can cause you to sin and James says a tongue is sinful
Just as Jesus describes a hand, a foot, and an eye causing you to sin,
so also James describes a tongue as radically depraved and profoundly evil.
Jesus proposes that a hand, and eye, and foot
could cause you to sin.
James says the tongue is full of deadly poison and set on fire by
hellfire.
While Church rebellion says that Jesus can't be talking about a hand causing sin, since a hand itself can't cause sin and
that the problem is in the heart, yet they ignore the rest of the Bible which
validates Jesus's line of thinking
Jesus says a hand eye or foot could cause you to sin
In the same way James makes sober warnings
against the tongue
Neither Jesus nor James is ignorant that the mind is involved before the
external body part, because just as Jesus says that visual Adult Tree is heart
adultery, so also James Target's the way a person thinks in hypocrisy and the
way their heart is deceived long before their tongue ends up being a flame of
hellfire

Now already religious Church anti-Bible hypocrites are squirming and flustered and upset that anyone would even
suggest that amputation has anything to do with the gospel
Never mind if they squawk loudly and pretend to be conservative; they don't care enough about the Bible to
recognize the good message right in front of their nose
Amputating sin is about martyrdom
After all, what is crucifixion and martyrdom in general except...
not denying the truth and
standing up for the word of God and
getting persecuted and eventually
terminated because of it and
through it?
Just as a persecutor may demand that you deny Jesus or die,
and we see that denying Jesus is a grave sin that can send you straight to
hell, and the call to martyrdom is to embrace the Truth and avoid such sin at
the cost of your life...
And even though we should easily see that our call to a martyrdom
sacrifice is a call to embrace the truth and deny falsehood and all sin at all
costs, yet no one is really sounding the alarm when all of these squawking
preachers and apostate rebellious church people go off freely spouting heresy
and hateful rebellion against Jesus in plain daylight by pretending that you
don't have to take his amputation commands seriously, that is, literally...
These are spots in your love feasts feeding themselves
without fear
And all of this figurative escaping from the truth and obedience, and yet no one considers that reducing Jesus's words to figurative imagination is betraying the very foundation of the good message to deny sin at the expense of your own life... And if you should give up your entire body to not fornicate or commit adultery or any sin in order that you might attain to the glorious prestige of being a martyr, how is it that we even give space for a moment to such raging foaming heretics daring to defile the council of heaven and insult the integrity and truth of Jesus's sacrifice by denying the good message of crucifixion so that we won't even be willing to amputate a body part like Jesus said to get rid of sin, and then we want to pretend we believe in the so-called gospel when we won't even take up our cross and get rid of whatever it takes in our life to amputate sin...
